Middle School Welcome from Kathy Hume
Dear Visitors,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Middle School section of Woodside Priory School's Web site. All of us in the Middle School are proud of what we do and want to share our experience with you in this space. If you are a parent, please remember to check the Parents Portal for timely information. If you are a prospective student or family, the best way to really get the "look and feel" of our school is of course to visit, and I hope you will! You will find more information at Open House/Shadow Days in the Admissions section of our school site.
The entire faculty, many parents and many students will be at Open House. After an overview presentation in the Gym, our guests visit classrooms and talk informally with us at a reception where books and projects are on display. At Shadow Day, visiting students spend the morning and lunchtime with a student ambassador. This student volunteer's goal is to make guests feel welcome and to answer questions student-to-student.
People often ask what is distinctive about our Middle School. A brief answer is in our values: hospitality, community, individuality, spirituality and integrity. We all — students, faculty and staff — work and play together, and enjoy each other's company. Our school is academically rigorous, but we are flexible to the individual strengths, talents, emotions and developmental differences of each student.
